With the shortage of organs for donation, the government must make it a rule that all individuals who die in the US will be assessed for organ donation, unless the individual opts out while alive. That way the default is to donate rather than now where the default is not to donate unless you make an effort.
With such a shortage of organs such drastic measures must be in place to save lives rather than waste organs in burials.
