Uncomfortable truth
Have you seen this movie? Sort of a "political oriented documentary" about global warming. After watching this movie one thought crossed my mind: "Why all those enviroment fighting people are so silly?" Every enviromental propaganda movie has following scenario:
1. terrible facts about current situation.
2. how they tried to make polititians to believe in (1) but polititians didn't.
3. terrible facts about current situation over again - just in case someone forgot or didn't beleive.
4. raising "Moral values" by showing sentimental pictures and saing something like: "Earth is our home, how can we even compare money and industrial development with future of enviroment - if we mess it up - we all will die!".
5. Point by finger on the bad guy.

It's all silly and waste of time actually. It's a waste of time in case it's not a preellections race - when you kinda want to appeal to moral values so not that well educated people (whom unfortunatelly we still have a lot) would understand what's your point is. But when it's some sort of a strike, or just an attempt to pass/ban some law - when you have to change some reach business man's/polititian's mind about the way he makes his millions - you have to use a different strategy. YOU HAVE TO SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE HE DOES AND THIS LANGUAGE CALLED MONEY.
You have to show them what they gonna loose if they wont change something. For example in "Uncomfortable truth" movie they show a model how Manhattan will go under water - that was really cool! Interesting simple and understandable. Now let's just create the same model, but put properties values and names of owners on a map and publish it! Let's create a models how any enviromental factor will affect particular individuals with names, pictures, values of losses and time frames. Sure strong sientific support should be brought to this project - only that will give it enough credibility.
Just imagine such a website for example - where you can see what will happen to the area, you are going to buy a real estate in, in 50 years for example. It probably wont affect you directly, but will affect your children - and that's easier to understand. Even more - such kind of information might affect real estate prices even now ! Same models can be created for other branches of economy and market.
This way we can make current business owners to start taking care of enviroment and also enviroment fighters will get more appealing arguments. Also, after major promotion of this project - it will influent on world economy - so 3rd world countries will start taking enviroment into account too.
