SUBMIT IDEAS
1. Before submitting an idea, we recommend you perform a search to insure the
idea does not already exist. You may consider searching on Google, US Patent
Office Search, or this web site.
2. To submit an idea, include title and description of the idea. Hint: Keep title short
so the entire title can be read.
3. You may upload text, CAD, or image files that details your ideas concept.
4. Check only one idea type: Free vs Protected Idea.
Free Idea - Only a suggestion. Not intellectually protected. Not patented. Majority of these ideas will be suggestions to improve something already in the world or an idea the author does not wish to intellectually protect.
Protected Idea - An idea or product that is protected by U.S. or International Patnent, Copyright, or Trademark laws. These ideas have been accepted by entities such as the U.S Patent and Trademark Office and individuals have a specific patent or copryright number. Protected ideas published on this web site may seek aid in funding, manufacturing or commercialization.
5. Check box of what idea needs to make it a reality.
a. Does it need money/funding?
b. Does it need to be manufactured?
c. Does it need to be advertised/commercialized?
6. Enter who this idea is for or who can help with you idea. For example if you have come up with a song lyric that the band U2 can use, then submit it and under company put "U2". The idea will be archived for U2 and can be searched by all members including possible band member of U2 who may be looking for song lyric ideas. After 5 ideas are submitted to a paticular individual or company, IDEASXCHANGE will provide a link to that entity inviting them to come view all the ideas submitted by the public for them.
BROWSE IDEAS
1. Ideas can be quickly browsed by categories and subcategories.
2. Click on the left hand column to choose the category.
3. The tiles and brief synopsis of the in each category will be displayed. You may
choose to order ideas by newest date vs ranking.
4. You may click on each idea to view the entire idea including who its for and what
can be done to help the idea.
5. You may rate the idea.
6. You may contact the author.
7. You may discuss the idea.
RATE IDEAS
1. Each person will be asked to rate idea on a scale of 1-5. Consider the following
items when rating:
a. Overall
b. Originality
c. Feasibility
d. Potential impact on society
2. Ideas rated will be ranked based on their rating. Top ten ideas will be listed on the
front page of each category.
3. Each idea can only be rated once per individual.
SEARCH IDEAS
1. Ideas may be search by:
a. Keyword
b. Category type - You may choose one, two, or as many categories.
c. Idea type - You may search for ideas based on idea type classification.
(i.e. only search for suggestions under business.)
d. Idea Need - You may search ideas based on needs. (i.e only search for
ideas that need money.)
e. Search for who the idea is for. You may search ideas submitted for U2.
f. You may search for ideas based on date: last day, week, month, year or
all.
DISCUSS IDEAS
1. In addition to rating ideas, users will have an opportunity to discuss an idea in
message board format.
2. Comments to the idea author can be posted and read by everyone viewing idea.

4. What happens to ideas submitted?
Ideas submitted will be archived into category and stored in our database. The ideas can be viewed and rated by the public. People who want to contact you regarding the idea will be able to fill out a contact form which will be sent to you email box. Submitted ideas may solicit for help with money, commercialization, manufacturing. Companies looking for ideas from the public can search this website and get inspiration to build a better product or make a funnier television commercial.
5. Can my ideas be stolen?
Yes, ideas you wish to protect should be registered with the US Patent office. See Legal Disclaimer. Ideas registered with the patent office may be placed on the site in order to solicit help in making the idea a reality. Ideas may be submitted as suggestions if the author does not wish to spend money resources to protect the idea.
6. Do I need to register?
No, registration is not mandatory. Ideas submitted without registering will be signed "anonymous"
7. What is the advantage of registering?
- Registration allows you to create an account to store and archive all you thoughts and ideas.
- Registration allows you to create a username that you can use to identify the idea belongs to you. Ideas submitted without registration will be signed anonymous and nobody can contact you regarding the idea.
- Registration allows you to participate in rating and discussing a submitted idea.
- Registration gives you the privilege to contact individuals with submitted ideas.
- It is free and only requires a username and email address.
8. What happens to my registration information?
